Insurance Agent shares sobering message to 6 figure earners.

As an insurance agent, I have a few "big earners" as clients. This is my message to them.

IS YOUR 6 FIGURE JOB GUARANTEED? WILL YOU JOIN THE “LAY-OFF CROWD”? WHAT WILL YOU DO IF THIS HAPPENS TO YOU, HOW WILL YOU MAINTAIN YOUR HOME, LIFESTYLE AND … MARRIAGE?

These are sobering questions but you can be prepared. Learn from someone who went through this.
If you are currently making a 6 figure income, you need to watch this 15 minute overview by someone who was, lost it, and gained it back plus a whole lot more, with time and freedom to actually enjoy it.
Register for this revealing webinar which is only 15 minutes and only presented on Wednesdays and… IT MAY BE DELETED ANY WEEK NOW!

The person hosting the webinar was making a 6 figure income before doing this. So why did he make the change? Well, because if you don’t know this, there is no such thing as a “secure” job. Even though he was very good at what he did, he was laid off, downsized or whatever term you want to call it these days but the fact is, he was let go. He now had to immediately do something (like
“yesterday”) to make ends meet. I won’t go into his story here but you can probably imagine what it would be like “falling” from 6 figures to zero funds; not good!

Procrastinators get Obamacare Enrollment Extension

OK procrastinators; you may still have time to enroll in Obamacare. I just got notice that it's extended in many areas. They state that it's because of "unprecedented demand" but I suspiciously think it's more because of what Carly Fiorina stated in the GOP debate last night: The government did not go to the private sector to create the website.

Here's the message I received this a.m.

Due to unprecedented demand, the Obama administration has extended the deadline for health coverage effective January 1 by two days for all federal exchange states.  The new deadline for applications is now December 17 at 11:59 PST.

Some state based exchanges have extended their deadlines as well.   Below please find a list of states and deadlines that we are currently aware of.  We will update this list as information becomes available.  We encourage you to stay aware of news and alerts for your state.
·  Maryland will push its deadline to Dec. 18 -New York extended its deadline through Dec. 19
·  Minnesota moved its own to Dec. 28
·  Covered California also announced Tuesday that it would extend call center hours, but not a sign-up extension

·  Washington, Massachusetts and Rhode Island have a deadline of Dec. 23

Make it a great day and if I can be of service let me know!

So You've Enrolled in ACA, Obamacare, or HealthCare.gov (all the same thing). Now what?

Congratulations for enrolling into the HealthCare.gov site. This year instead of being on the line (and online) walking people through the process I directed my clients (and prospective clients) to the link and had them spend the hour or more required to enroll. If they had questions I directed them to a "navigator" who gets paid to help them (and does this all the time so they can get through the "ins and outs" faster than me).

NOTE: There are many reasons that you may have a "special enrollment period" during the year, so if you think you are eligible ask me and I can help you.

So now what, you're all set right? You are completely taken care of right? Sorry, if you were expecting a big, affirmative yes. My answer is a big NO! Sorry, I'm not yelling but I did want to get your attention.

I'm not going to give you the exact statistics here, I could but I'm not going to check LIMRA just now. But I will tell you that most people do not have insurance, enough insurance or the right insurance. Most people now get health insurance because it's the law and they have to pay a penalty if they do not.

Well, I'm not going to beat you with a stick if you don't buy insurance but I will tell you that you are most likely under insured. Just having Obamacare simply makes sure that the hospitals and doctors are paid but who pays you? We do. Or better said, the companies and their products that I represent cover you.

For instance when you have a situation and you need to go to the doctor, the doctor gets paid but how are you going to pay those deductibles? And when you pay the deductible, you have less money to pay for your lights, gas and groceries.

Well here's one way to help you. It's free and you don't have to be a client of mine to have it and use it at your next visit to the pharmacy. Just copy and paste the image into a word document, print it (on harder index paper if you'd like) and simply present it to the pharmacist to get up to 90% off your purchase. BAM! You're welcome. (Print as many as you like and give them to friends and family). Yes, it's good in all 50 states. Walmart and Walgreens take the card; CLICK HERE to find out what other places honor the card.

As an insurance agent, it doesn't matter where you live in the USA, I can (and will) answer your insurance questions and/or lead you to someone who can! I am licensed and work mostly in MN/WI and will soon be licensed in other states as I need per client requests. I also offer other types of protection and investment type products that will assist you in living better and leaving a legacy. Inquire about all at my site: www.terscott.com/insuranceresponse.

Terry Scott, Insurance Agent offers products to fill in gaps left by Obamacare

I am NOT helping directly with ObamaCare this year (or MNSure; Minnesota’s “we can do it better” version). I direct you to the sites so you can enroll yourself (or I can connect you with a Navigator; they are very busy but do not charge you). Then after self-enrolling you’ll realize that you still have major exposures (for one, the very high deductibles) and these are what I help you with!
ObamaCare makes sure the hospitals and doctors get paid, my products pay you so you can pay the deductibles, your lights, car payment and food. Contact me if you want to see how you can really get peace of mind and money when you need it!

*I am also not assisting people with Medicare Supplement or Medicare Advantage programs this year. Again, I am glad to direct you to a reputable agent who can.

Tips To Help You Prevent Breast Cancer

12 Tips To Help You Prevent Breast Cancer

Today (November 7th, 2015) I am presenting handwriting analyses (Yes, besides offering people protection via insurance products, I am also a graphologist) at Women Rock in Duluth Minnesota.

Since the event is about Anti Breast Cancer (Breast Cancer Awareness) I wanted to have some tips about prevention. I came across this informative article by Dr. Manisha Ghei. I think you may find it very interesting and if you do, please CLICK HERE to read all the parts I had to leave out because I just did not have enough room in this post. Here it is, please pass this information on to someone you love!

We really are what we eat, drink, breathe, think, and cannot eliminate! While food most certainly is to be regarded as the best medicine, it can also be the biggest poison. When there's diminished elimination of physical and emotional toxins, they build up, which may lead to DNA damage and ultimately cancer.

Some of the best strategies for breast cancer prevention are:

1. Food is always first!
Eat antioxidant-rich foods like organic fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds, and healthy fats and oils like avocado and extra virgin olive oil. Eliminate sugar from your diet in every shape or form.

2. Quit smoking.
… smokers have a 24% higher risk and former smokers have a 13% higher risk of invasive breast cancer than non-smokers.

3. Avoid alcohol.
Alcohol changes the way estrogen is metabolized in our body, which can lead to estrogen dominance.

4. Consume a diet low in animal-based foods.
Animal-based products are extremely inflammatory and expose the body to a high dose of arachidonic acid, an inflammatory mediator. Fill half your plate with veggies!

5. Exercise regularly and develop a yoga practice.
Yoga balances and regulates the endocrine system, and thus our hormones.

6. Do regular breast self-exams and breast massage.
Get clinical breast exams at your yearly physicals, and mammograms if appropriate.

7. Maintain the right body composition and fat percentage of your body.
Obesity and visceral adipose tissue (VAT, i.e., the fat accumulated around your abdominal organs) are extremely inflammatory!

8. Reduce other inflammation-causing issues in your body.
It's important to get tested for food sensitivities and eliminate from your diet all foods to which you may have allergies or sensitivities.

9. Avoid toxins.
These can take the form of:
  • Inflammatory foods that are filled with trans fats, artificial coloring and preservatives.
  • Household cleaning chemicals, pesticides and insecticides.
  • BPA-containing plastics, which can be used for storing food and water.
  • Personal care products and perfumes: these may contain hormone-disrupting chemicals like pthalates and parabens.
10. Consume a good-quality protein at each meal.
Your body needs essential amino acids at every step to function optimally.

11. Balance mind, body and emotions with meditation, breath control and emotional freedom exercises.
Here are a few tips:
  • Meditate daily.
  • Learn and practice yogic breathing exercises.
  • Practice forgiveness every day!
  • Journal before going to bed to detoxify the mind.
12. Sleep is your best friend!
If you suffer from chronic sleep issues, work with your physician to find the underlying cause and correct it. Using drugs isn't the answer!

Insurance Agent, Terry Scott will not offer Health Insurance through Obamacare this season...

ANNOUNCEMENT from Insurance Agent, Terry Scott.

This is a notice to inform my current (and prospective) clients that (for the year 2015-2016 season; November 15th to December 7th) I will NOT offer Health Insurance (Either through Obamacare or MNSure; which is basically Obamacare but for Minnesota residents) or Medicare (over age 65) products, at least for this year.

As a “life and legacy” coach my business model is helping people in many areas and I offer insurance products to my clients as part of those overall services. With this intent, I will still offer insurance products that cover the exposures that everyone has even after they’ve complied with government laws to have Obamacare to help cover those very high deductibles. Plus, I will gladly refer you to another agent who offers these products if you request it. I remain available to answer any questions you have about any of these products however, I will not provide them and as stated, will direct you to another agent.

I will continue to offer financial options for your financial well-being.

To see the list of products I offer to help you survive and strive for your health and wealth, please see my webpage: www.terscott.com/lifeandlegacy

Thanks for you understanding.

Anyone else having trouble with completing courses in the Marketplace Learning Management System?

Am I the only one having trouble with completing the course in the Marketplace Learning Management System so I can enroll people in the Obamacare?

I finished first “intro” module and got knocked out of the entire site. Then I called a number and they stated that there is no help via phone and only via email. So I emailed and waited. In the meantime I was able to get back in again after going around in circles and through many pages.
That was last week.

Today I complete the second (I think it was the second one) and the same thing happened. Now I know to expect this with this site so I did everything all over again to get in; I have to “agree and accept” and log in again and then find the page to click on “return to agent training”, then I had to again agree to all of my profile was correct and finally I could click on “next” and opened a page listing my courses to complete.

Great, this takes a lot of time but OK, I do this. Then I get to page 10 of 15 in the exam and get knocked out from the site during the test!!!!! Really?????

Then I attempt all of these steps over again to try to get back to where I was and get this message: The CMS Enterprise Portal is currently not available due to an outage. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please try back later. Feel free to contact the CMS Help Desk if you have any questions.

So I “play” around some more and I managed to find the exam area again and guess what….? I have to start again from the beginning of the test!!!!! I WAS ALREADY ON PAGE 10 OF 15!!!
I started this at 4:30 today and now it's 6:15. I still have many more modules (and exams) to complete.

Emailing someone requesting help is really NO HELP. This is very frustrating to say the very least. Who created this piece of crap??? This site needs help in simple navigation principles so one can move easily from one module and when they are completed with it they can simply move on to the next.

Why??? Why, why? I’m simply trying to get this completed so I can move on with my life. This should not have to be an exercise in frustration…

What if I told you everything you know about how to learn, study and succeed in school was wrong?

3 Ways to Get it Today

There are three ways you can get the course and start learning better:

A while ago I read your article on holistic learning, and also downloaded the e-book. I was a first year university student then and had gotten through high school mainly by memorization and late night cramming. When I got to university, I nearly failed most of my courses. I was taking an introductory course for organic chemistry, general physics, etc. and the load was too much for my previous study tactics. It was the first time that I would study well in advance and still perform horribly on an exam, and pretty dark time for me.

I appreciate your articles because they gave me hope that maybe the problem was not that I was not cut out for my chosen profession, or that I should give up on a lifelong goal, but instead there was a problem with the way I was organizing things. The next semester, I came across your articles during midterm exams, and I've certainly been doing a lot better.

(For those confused, this edition really does have everything, the only disadvantage is you have to email me to cancel if you don't want future billing. I have read Learn More, Study Less, and I think it's great, and has certainly helped, and continues to help me learn better than I had been.

ObamaCare Facts: I am under age of 26, can I claim myself as a dependent and still be under my parent's plan?

I had a (young) friend ask me about this so I pass it on to my readers:
Do my parents have to claim me as a dependent on their taxes
for me to stay on their insurance plan?
FACTS ABOUT
Health coverage for adults
(ObamaCare refers to them “children”) under 26:

The Affordable Care Act requires insurance companies to cover young adults on their parent’s plan until age 26 if the plan offers dependent coverage, regardless of your tax status, student status, state of residence, or marital status. In other words, you do not need to be a tax dependent of your parents to continue to be covered as a dependent on their health plan.

If a plan covers children, they generally can be added to or kept on a parent's health insurance policy until they turn 26 years old.
Children can join or remain on a parent's plan even if they are:
  • ·         Married
  • ·         Not living with their parents
  • ·         Attending school
  • ·         Not claimed as a dependent on their parent’s tax return
  • ·         Eligible to enroll in their employer’s plan

These rules apply to both job-based plans and individual plans bought inside or outside the Marketplace.
Note: Some states and plans use different maximum coverage ages. Check with your plan to find out how long an adult child can stay on your plan.
I’m available to assist people in navigating the HealthCare.gov portal. I do this for people at no cost to them. After you are safely enrolled in Obama Care (so you won’t have to pay the penalty) we can then get all those other exposures taken care of for you (like helping you to be able to pay those Obamacare high deductibles, etc.). Again, I don’t charge you for that either, the companies that I recommend you for products that you determine meet your needs, pay me a commission.
I will even help people to re-enroll this year; doing this on your own can create problems as some of my clients found out last year. Again, I don’t charge for this service and I work with you by having you share my computer screen so you can do this without leaving your home.
I’m scheduling time now with clients so I can help them when enrollment opens. I’m licensed in WI and MN but I will only work with people in Minnesota who are past clients or referred to me by a client.
Call and leave your name and phone number at 888-241-4031 if you are interested.

Is the "Learn More Study Less" Program a Scam?

I'm recommending this ebook because I believe it to be of great value for anyone trying to learn something, especially if you're a student. Scott has taken the process of learning and has hit upon the methods that most quick learners use, breaking it down into easily understandable and practical steps that any of us can implement. If you want to learn like the best learners do--the people who make learning seem easy, like Scott--this method will help you get there."

“I've since used Scott's resources to develop my learning technique. Learning becomes easier and fun because of how I now retain information 10x better.”

Thank you for existing. When, I read Learn More, Study Less I was a mess. I had no direction except school, and even that made me miserable. Despite being in advanced programs during highschool, I was only a C student. I wasn't doing too much better in college. Until that is, my friend lent me your book.

Learn More, Study Less made sense--it didn't sound like bullshit. I used you as motivation. Any time a moment seemed to hard, or too stressful, I'd whip open your blog and read something. Before I knew it, I was back hard at work.

Now I am a completely different person. I live a blessed, full, life now. I can't thank you enough, but I'm of the belief that people who deserve thanks very rarely hear it. So, here it is: Thank you Scott, for everything you have done.

"I read your book, Learn More, Study Less, and it totally blew my reality I used to memorize everything before, now I'm using holistic learning. I recommend that everyone reads your book. You have many satisfied customers"

I have read Learn More, Study Less, and I think it's great, and has certainly helped, and continues to help me learn better than I had been.

Now anyone can study less and learn more with this system.

Insurance agents, listen up.

Also anyone reading this blog whether you have to always study and keep up with the insurance changes like we do or you are one of my happy clients. You don't have to work so hard! Check this out: Click Here!

What if I told you...

  1. You could get better grades, with less studying than you are doing now.
  2. Smart people aren’t just gifted – they have a different learning strategy (that you can copy).
  3. Most people have no idea how they learn things. As a result, they can't train themselves to be smart.
  4. Click Here!
These things may seem unbelievable. However, using the tactics in Learn More, Study Less, I have:
  • Aced university finals with little or no studying.
  • Scored first in an advanced inter-province chemistry exam. Without even being aware I needed to take the test until five minutes before writing it.
  • Read over 70 books in a year.
  • Scored in the top three percentile for a national exam. Despite never having taken the course being tested.
  • Minimized course work to maintain an A average while running a business, taking frequent international trips and still having time to socialize and party.
I say this not to brag, because my accomplishments are relatively modest. In researching extraordinary learners I've found people who have achieved A averages with triple the full-time course load, memorized entire books and breezed through degree programs designed to fail most people.
I’m saying this because I believe you can do it too.

Nurses, Could you live without $3400 a Month?

In the US there are approximately 183,400 nurses working in physician offices and over 1.5 million at medical/surgical hospitals.1  Many of these employers do not provide disability insurance to their employees.

The median income for a nurse is $65,470, an amount that most would consider worth protecting in the event she/he could not work due to illness or injury. With a disability policy that would be around a $3400 monthly benefit - TAX FREE!

Customize a plan to fit their needs that could include Own Occupation - meaning if he/she is disabled and unable to perform nursing duties - they will receive a benefit even if they choose to work in another profession.

Did You Know.....
Women make up the majority of new claimants. Fifty-six percent of new disability claims approved during 2013 were for women and 44 percent were for men. The percentage of claims for men increased in both 2012 and 2013 after claims for women increased in 2010 and 2011.
