OK procrastinators; you may still have time to enroll in
Obamacare. I just got notice that it's extended in many areas. They state that
it's because of "unprecedented demand" but I suspiciously think it's
more because of what Carly Fiorina stated in the GOP debate last night: The
government did not go to the private sector to create the website.
Here's the message I received this a.m.
Due to unprecedented demand, the Obama administration has extended the deadline for health coverage effective January 1 by two days for all federal exchange states. The new deadline for applications is now December 17 at 11:59 PST.
Some state based exchanges have extended their deadlines as well. Below please find a list of states and deadlines that we are currently aware of. We will update this list as information becomes available. We encourage you to stay aware of news and alerts for your state.
· Maryland will push its deadline to Dec. 18 -New York extended its deadline through Dec. 19
· Minnesota moved its own to Dec. 28
· Covered California also announced Tuesday that it would extend call center hours, but not a sign-up extension
· Washington, Massachusetts and Rhode Island have a deadline of Dec. 23
Make it a great day and if I can be of service let me know!
Terry Scott
