an association that provides research, consulting, and other services to
insurance and financial services companies, worldwide). The most commonly cited
reason for NOT purchasing life insurance, or more, is that people (63%) think
that it is too expensive. But here’s the kicker. According to LIMRA’s recent Life
Happens study, consumers overestimate the cost of life insurance by nearly
three-fold!
Since I've been in the insurance business now for awhile, I have built my business on referrals because people like what I have to offer and my style of offering it I guess. But everyday I'm still on the phones, and meeting people face to face, letting them know that I can help them because most people aren't experts with insurance. Hopefully they are experts in what they do every day, like truck driving, roofing, doctoring, selling, etc. But because insurance is usually "out of sight and out of mind" until they need it or see someone else you does, I'm glad to make my self available. It's statistics like this one that tells me that people want and need my products!
Using LIMRA's statistic, take what you think life insurance will cost, minus 70% from that,
and contact an agent (me or someone else who is knowledgeable) to get the facts… and protection you need for your family. You'll be pleasantly surprised how affordable it truly is!
